Roadcases was developed by Paul Dexter, a former rock'n'roll touring lighting designer with credits from Ozzy, Motley Crue, DIO and Elton John, and Larry McNeny a former tour manager with Eric Clapton, the Bee Gees and Ozzy to name a few.

After staying in contact over many years of changes, living arrangements and occupations, the pair was compelled to contact those that they toured with and talk about the times on the road.

To be "on the road" takes a certain type of personality. Many made careers from the pioneering days of production touring (circa 1968) and some are still out there! Many have moved on to other stable and home based careers in the industry.

Whatever the case, touring has left an indelible mark on the minds of many that had experience on the road.It affords you travel, money, identity and lifestyle, but eventually stops, leaving either the resources to become successes or others wondering how to make ends meet in the corporate and technology driven world that has taken over the concert touring or theatrical touring industry.

Roadcases intends to establish a way to bring all those who toured together and comprise a history from memories and archival photos to create a Chronicle for print and TV, promising to be interesting, entertaining and educational.

Ostensibly, a desire to "contact someone" revealed other side effects. An online survey was conducted.Owing to the freelance and innate independent nature of many, financial planning and health insurance was evidently put on the back burner.

Roadcases proposes an association to help start directing financial planning and eventually help support those with a history of touring. To aggressively pursue this tack, Roadcases needs strength in numbers to adequately negotiate and obtain benefits afforded by organizations such as the Director's Guild or Screen Actors Guild.
